Ham and Noodle Medley

  • 4 ounces fettuccini pasta uncooked
  • 1 1/2 cups mixed vegetables frozen
  • 1 cup ham 1/2 -inch cubed cooked
  • 1 4-ounce can mushrooms sliced, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning dried crushed
  • 1 cup Basic White Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Romano cheese grated

This recipe makes 4 servings.

* Cooking Time: 12 minutes Power: 100% (700 watts) Standing Time: 2 minutes Cook noodles in boiling water according to package directions. Drain and set aside (you will need about 2 cups cooked).

Meanwhile, place frozen vegetables in a large microwavable bowl. Cover with a glass lid or plastic wrap, turning one edge back. Microwave at 100% power (700 watts) for 3 minutes. Drain if necessary. Add ham, mushrooms and Italian herbs. Toss lightly to blend. Stir in 1/2 cup of the sauce; set aside.

Place noodles in a shallow 2-quart microwavable dish. Stir remaining 1/2 cup sauce into noodles.

Spread vegetable mixture over noodles, pressing ham cubes into sauce. Cover with a glass lid or plastic wrap, turning one edge back. Microwave at 100% power for 9 minutes or until heated through.

Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and let stand for 2 minutes before serving.
