Ground Beef Stroganoff

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onions chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms 
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 pepper
  • 4 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2/3 cup sour cream
  • 16 ounces egg noodles

This recipe makes 4 servings.

1. In a skillet, cook beef and onion in butter until meat is no longer pink.

2. Stir in mushrooms, flour, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook and stir for 5 minutes.

3. Add chili sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Reduce heat and cook uncovered for 10 minutes.

4. Stir in sour cream just before serving. Heat through - do not boil. Serve over noodles.
