Sites of Note: Valentines, Too
This week I’d like to share 2 sites that have caught my eye.
Natalie from OneBusyWAHM
Natalie has a weakness for all things calorific and to her baking is a passion.
At One Busy WAHM she shares the perils and perks of her life as a busy (and happy!) work-at-home mum. From juggling work with motherhood, to her latest diet and skinny jeans dreams.
Natalie is the (self-appointed) CEO of her household, sharing her favourite budget-friendly finds as well as all her latest tips, tricks and secrets for cooking up a family-friendly STORM in your kitchen.
Her Valentine Chocolate Heart Lollipops are an easy-to-make, kid friendly option to give to friends and teachers.
and they’re pretty to boot!

We’ve also started following Beth & Brian from SimplyBudgeted
Brian is an Army veteran and stay-at-home dad who loves to cook and work with power tools! He’s also a certified teacher but has currently taken up the reins of running the household while Beth works towards their dream of both working from home.
Beth’s love for baking perfectly complements Brian’s kitchen skills and they both work in their his and her gardens (his=vegetables, hers=flowers).
Brian’s degree in Finance and Beth’s in Computer Engineering make this duo perfectly suited to helping people figure out how to live on a budget making it feel like a luxury instead of a punishment.
Check out these yummy, good things:
Valentine’s Thin Mint Crackers
These are absolutely delicious even if you don’t like mint flavor- just omit that ingredient.
and something a little decadent for mom or bath time fun for the kiddos.
Valentine’s Bath Fizzies
A sweet Valentine’s treat made with real Dixie Crystals Sugar!
Thank you to Natalie and Beth for creating some beautiful things from chocolate & sugar. Two of my favorite food groups.
And to Brian, a HUGE Thank You for your service to our country. Thank you for leaving the comforts of your home and family to volunteer to protect my freedom, my family and my friends from things that I will never fully understand. It takes a special person to make the sacrifices that you’ve made. The words Thank You will never be enough.
