Frugal Things To Do That Are More Productive Than Watching TV
Do you get stuck in a rut some nights and feel like the only frugal thing you can do is sit in front of the TV and watch something?
I know we do that a lot of times. Yes there are books to read and knitting to be done, but after a while it gets a bit boring… and it doesn’t really feel like you’re accomplishing much.
This morning I came across a blog post on WiseBread.com with 25 ideas for fun things to do other than watching TV. Best of all they don’t cost a thing, but instead may end up saving you some money.
Here are a couple of my favorites from the post:
- Mend Some Clothing
- Make Tomorrow’s Lunch
- Clean Your Coffeemaker
- Do a Digital Deep Clean
- Send a Handwritten Note
- Clean One Drawer or Closet
- Pre-Cut Some Veggies
- Clean and Organize Your Wallet or Purse
You can read all 25 Fun and Frugal Things To Do Besides Watch TV here.
Which one’s your favorite?
I set up a little mending basket under the side table in the living room and plan on sewing a few buttons on and fixing a hem on one of my favorite pairs of pants tonight.
How about you? Leave me a comment with your favorite fun and frugal activity.
