Creamy Tomatoes

I was at a bridal shower a few years ago and there were these individual small tomatoes that were almost sliced all the way through and there was this creamy, maybe mayonaise-y liquid poured over the sliced tomatoes.

Other than the sweetness of the tomato, the sauce was not sweet, but not salty either.

I’ve asked my friend what they were and

they were made by a lady her aunt used to work with and she died shortly after the shower. 🙁

Anyone have any idea what I’m talking about?
